That's a real shame for the bloke. There are a couple of footballers I wouldn't mind seeing it happen to, but he's certainly not one of them.
He hasn't been up to scratch for quite a while, and it's quite serendipitous that we had Byram locked in a day or two earlier and that he wasn't able to slot in seamlessly.

Send the woeful cunt back to Arsenal. Played well last year in general but ain't cut the mustard this season. Fucking hopeless at defending and only makes an impact if brought on to bomb up the wing if we're losing. Hope this new kid fits the bill as Tomkins isn't a long term solution to this problem position

I'm not even sure Jenkinson was any better last season than this season. I think the difference is that we ship less goals and win more games this season so when he does make a mistake it's highlighted more.
The fact is that he is like John Stones, David Luiz etc.. a ball playing defender who's priority is getting forward. That means your always going to mistakes from this type of player.
I think Bilic has decided we want the stability of a defender that doesnt bomb forward all the time and has better positioning (Tomkins).
I think it's a shame for us to not have Jenkinson as an alternative. It does make our squad worse. I dont understand why people are happy. It's not as if we were playing him 1st choice anyway. O'Brien.. really???
